The Ashbury Resort is the Worlds 9th largest golf resort – boasting a total of 103 exceptional holes of golf.
Your holiday lodge prices include your golf experience at The Ashbury Resort, making it affordable for everyone to play and enjoy these wonderful courses.
With stunning views the Ashbury golf resort is set amongst 500 acres of beautiful scenery, boasting breath-taking views of Dartmoor and the rolling Devon countryside.
Four 18-hole golf courses in one place!
Each course has been thoughtfully designed using the natural features of the landscape and provides something different during your golfing trips.
Challenging Kigbeare offers well-designed risk and reward holes, while Beeches requires careful, considered gameplay and spectacular views. Meander through tree-lined fairways as you take on Pines and cautiously manoeuvre well-positioned hazards on Oakwood.

All golfers are entitled to play 18 holes of long course golf on their arrival day (PM round only) and 18 holes on their departure day (AM round only). 27 holes of long course golf are available on all other days. We advise all those wishing to play golf to book tee times in advance.
The Ashbury experienced staff will work out a golf package for you, so that you enjoy as many of the courses as possible during your stay. Their aim with the tee time bookings during your stay is to give you; a mixture of courses, a variety of tee times (morning and afternoon) whilst also spreading tee times evenly throughout the day and across all courses. To ensure they balance the courses they may not be able to offer multiple rounds on any one particular course. They reserve the right to pair up single and 2-ball pairings.
Golf is available every day throughout the year. During our Autumn to Spring months, they reserve the right to implement alternative Winter Courses.

Foot Golf
The Ashbury has recently converted the Willows golf course for those who prefer to kick a ball rather than hit it.
What is Footgolf?
For those who don’t know, FootGolf is played on a golf course, but instead of a golf ball, a football is kicked into custom-made larger holes. Like golf, the object of the game is to complete the course using the fewest possible shots. The Willow course at Ashbury is now available to book for Footgolf at the following times:
- Monday to Friday | 2pm – 6pm
- Saturday | 7.30am – 6pm

Golf Buggies
Golf Buggies
The Ashbury has over 450 buggies in total, the largest fleet at any golf resort in Europe.
Buggies are available all year round, on tarmac buggy roads. They are easy to operate and carry two golfers and two sets of clubs. All buggies are fitted with side and back panels to protect against the wind. They also offer 100 All-Season buggies, which provide fully cabbed, complete protection from even the most adverse weather conditions. There is also a selection of other equipment for hire, such as electric trolleys.
Please note:
- Hire charges apply for buggies - £24 for 18 holes or £30 all day during the summer season.
- To drive a buggy, you must be 17 years or over, hold a valid driving license AND valid insurance.
- Equipment hire charges – Electric Trolley £5, Pull Trolley £1 (cash deposit required).
